Currently this feature is only available on iOS.
With the Backup Remotes feature you can save a snap shot of your remotes to an email account. This way you have a copy in case someone (kids, parents, aliens etc.) should happen to delete or ruin your awesome remotes you can restore them back to all there glory. See the attached file for the details - it's very simple.
You can also email the file to other members of your family in case you don't want to use the remote sharing feature.
