The Echo Dot has an awesome new feature that allows you to connect it to your existing stereo system via Bluetooth or 3.5mm cable. This allows you to give voice commands for Spotify, prime music and more so you can listen to the music on any stereo system, however the problem is:
- Placing the Echo Dot by your stereo to use the 3.5mm jack may make controlling your music via voice difficult
- If you don't have a Bluetooth stereo ^ is your only option other than buying new equipment or a hardware add-on
Blumoo to the rescue! You can actually use the Bluetooth music streaming capabilities of your Blumoo with the Echo Dot. You simply pair the Dot to the Blumoo via the Alexa App: Settings > Echo Dot > Bluetooth. From there you can stream your music from the Dot to Blumoo allowing you to place the Dot where it is most convenient for you to use.
I do this at home with an awesome stereo that I love from the early 90's - now I can turn the stereo on and control my playlists all with nothing more than my voice.
